Christmas time flower now blooming

Can you believe these Amaryllis  bloomed this summer. They just died  last weekend. Our Christmas cactus is blooming too. I guess the cool spring and early summer has something to do with it. This was the nicest spring in  years.

Plum Jelly

I've been  making Plum Jelly for 2 days. The recipe is in the Sure Jell box.  Here's how to make a mess and have a good day. I tasted it, and it's even good. I'm a nervous cook, so , I was surprised  when it came out.    Ok, I've moved these pics around , but they won't comply, so they are out of order. I don't know how to fix it.

That's my husband, he's  giving me a face, cuz I asked him to dry the jars. He was joking.

Homegrown berries...yum

Not many berries this season. We really didn't  prune them much. But, what we had was goooooood.

Great finds

Very recent pics of my booth at AAM.

The wheel with the chains is an old garden hose holder.
It is sitting on an old mine cart with a heavy rough hewn top. It has shelves on the bottom for storage. It someone  put a piece of glass on top, it would be a great island in a large kitchen.
I'm selling is for $799, or best offer. Sold!

Contact Agoura Antique Mart at 818-706-8366.

These double cane backed chairs are upholstered in white canvas.  The  white distressed wooden frames are lightly trimmed in gold. They are $349. each or best offer.
Thanks for looking!

Red White and Blue

This is my best friend's mom at the 4th of July picnic in New Jersey at a 300 year old farm. Isn't she wonderful? She has been woman of the year in her home town many times.  Her name is Doris!
Look at her earrings!

Happy 4th to everyone. I love all of  you !!!

Thanks for being followers.

Siena, City of Pain

Walled cities are a beautiful pain. Here are the famous Siena rooftops. Unknowingly drive up one more block closer to the center of town, and boom, you're getting a ticket from the local Polizia. And you have to pay him, right there. It was something like 50 euros. Maybe more, can't remember. The town, as you can, see is a perfect place for Vespas.

Rolling Hills of Chianti

Tuscany looks a lot like So. California. Flying into Florence airport reminded me of Bob Hope airport in Burbank. These rolling hills could be off the 23  freeway going towards the 101, in Thousand Oaks.

We never felt ill at ease on our trip. There wasn't even a language barrier. People understood us, and we them, thanks to the Romantic Languages.
