1950's U.S. Army Military Police Communications Trailer

This U.S.Army trailer  is from  the 1950's,  and was most likely in Korea.
These compartments make it easy to convert this trailer into a bar.
this  cart has  a lid that locks. And  also comes with a set of aerials for receiving radio transmission.
New tires, make it easily maneuverable.
I bought this really cute military trailer at an estate sale. It has compartments, so I thought it might make a really fun  home bar. OR maybe  it could be  made into a bar-b-que. Anyway, it was a pain to get it to my booth. But with the help of  a couple of great people, we got it off the truck and into the store.

Booth redo

Sold a marble table and wrought iron chairs this week. It's a good month again. I'm so happy. I just bought this oak draw leaf table at an estate sale, this morning, and took it in. I wouldn't mind having to change my booth weekly.  These bar stools are leather on the seats and hand painted. They are kinda of over the top, but  I think somebody might like them as much as I do.

Halloween Tin House

these skeletons  glow in the dark.
I finished this Scary house in one afternoon. These are really fun and easy to make.
I put on all of the googly eyes with jewelry glue, E6000. I'm addicted to this stuff. It adheres anything to anything.
I got the cheesecloth from  Walmart.

20th Store Anniversary at Pergolina Gift Store

Bianca  is Paulana's blog queen and right hand babe.
packing material is her skirt. How cool is that?
I met Paulana and Steve of Pergolina Gifts, in Toluca lake, Ca. about the time she opened her store. I was a giftware rep, and she was my customer.  I gave up repping,  but we're still friends, so I wanted Guy and I to celebrate this  milestone with them.  Here are some of the vignettes, for which  Paulana is famous, now with the help of Bianca.  Congratulations you three! Love you,
Les

Danny Ferrington Uke

Our friend, Danny Ferrington, is a premiere Luthier (guitar maker)! We met him a few years ago. My husband, Guy plays guitar. He bought some  copies of a book Danny published. It's full of pictures of guitars Danny has made for various entertainers. The book is called: "Classic Ferrington Guitars", published by Callaway.
There is an introduction by Linda Ronstadt, friend of Danny, and "Ferrington" guitar owner.
Well, to make a long story short, Guy always wanted an instrument made by Danny, so  I scrimped and saved to get him a handmade one of a kind uke, made from a gourd (we got to pick it out ).  My husband was so excited, he had the uke named after me, Lulu, (my nickname). It's an honor to have  a fabulous piece of art named after me.  Danny is now selling these ukes in the Christmas Catalogue of Neiman Marcus. You can see him online, by googling Danny Ferrington/ Neiman Marcus. Also, he will be on the Today Show this coming  Tuesday, Oct. 19th 2010. We are excited for Danny, and hope he is successful  in his new venture!
