scary....BOO!

Last Sunday, I bought 3 ravens, from a woman, at a local swap meet.  They looked so real. One had his wings outstretched.  By Wednesday, 2 had sold.  I wish she'd had more to sell. I attached one of the ravens to a skeleton in a Halloween display at the front of the store. What an impact it made.   Spooky.

My 101st. Post Giveaway.... the 100th one got away from me!

Can you believe it? 101 posts since  April of this year! Well, I hope you like this pendant. It's a rhinestone cross within a rhinestone heart. The chain is sterling. Holy Cow!

This cow is now hanging in my booth, but  I think I might  want it back. It looks better  in my front yard. What  do think?

I just made two peach pies!

Ok, I don't know what's going on with me, but I seem have so much energy, I can plan and execute a  yard sale, all the while peeling, cutting ,mixing, and baking 2 pies.  This is the first time I've baked peach pies, although, this year, I've baked  raspberry and and apple pies for the first time too. I'm not Betty Crocker. I'm a nervous baker. I can cook, but when it comes to pastry, Oy!  

These peaches are really little. They came from my neighbor's tree. She is so generous. She gave me tons of plums ( look at an old post of mine. I made plum jelly), like maybe 36 jars.

My father-in-law, loves peach pie, and he's coming and selling at the yard sale,  tomorrow. (See last post for  time, if you are in the area).  So, he'll  be surprised. I hope because he will like it, not that it tastes badly.

Frida and Diego

We went to our friends', Paul and Joe, house for a party.  Everybody there was dressed to the hilt. Guy and I love  this Mexican artist couple. So I drew a unibrow on me, and bronzed Guy, darkened his hair, away we went.

Boo!

We took a sugar skull class. We learned how to decorate sugar skulls with icing and  all kinds of findings. This class was my first experience at the best craft and art store anywhere, called;  Zinnia. It's in So. Pasadena, Ca. Check it  out.    Zinnia.com.    They  give classes, and if you like the Somerset Magazine, this store is creative central!

Booth Redone

The second time in two weeks, I've redone my booth. I sold two farm tables this weekend. Whoopee! So, this time, I put in a large white counter, an Ostrich upholstered chair a cane back upholstered chair, and the cutest ottoman I've seen in years.

I put up grape vine overhead, with some  bright green leaves. It looks gardeny.  Can you believe, but these sunflowers aren't real?  I love the  cherub lamp. I put a Rachel Ashwell lampshade on it.
So, here's hoping I have to change the booth again, in a week!

Our Kitty

I just bought this hassock, today, and of course, BooBoo the kitty had to make it his own.
Sometimes, I can't even get  a new piece of furniture out of the truck, and he jumps up and plops down.

That's ok, he's my baby. and he's spoiled!
But don't tell my husband.

Our New Bathroom

    We have a 1950's house, and our bathroom certainly reflected that. It was way behind the times. Now, it's a clean, soothing, pale, spa. The colors are a grayish blue and 3 different shades of white. The  glass tiles in the shower are a combo of beige, aqua, and  gray blue.  What a pleasure!

The cabinet behind the toilet came with 3 white baskets. I matched the blue of the shower curtain, and painted them.

Guy wanted one of those arced shower curtain rods. It was really easy to find one. We got it at Lowes. It gives us a lot more space in the shower.

Does your kid dressage?  4H? Anything else that  rewards with ribbons? Well, here's the solution to that age old question, " What do I do with all of these ribbons?"

Each ribbon comes with the neatest clip on the back. How easy was this? I just love it! I hope you do too!!!

Booth Redone...again

It seems that I'm always redoing my booths. It takes all day, and for the last 2, my partner Roxanne and I have had 10 hour days of pain and joy!
