Newport's love affair with floats

Newport Oregon is on the coast. It is a fishing town.  The  Bayside is precious. Restaurants and shops  are adorned with nautical artifacts.   There are lots of different floats attached to buildings.   I like floats. I bought  a lot of wooden  ones. They'll look great in  a large bowl or  basket.

    Nice photos. Have to wonder who started the trend. Great place for old floats to hang out.
