It seems that God is a very important ingredient in wine making in Italy. We toured many small wineries in the Chianti region, and each and everyone had their own little chapel (cappella) on the grounds. We went into one, and down some stairs into their burial vault. We saw crypts of a family all the way back to the 16th century. I don't think we were supposed to be there, but no one stopped us. It was eerie. It reminded me of Zefferelli's Romeo and Juliet movie.
