Danny Ferrington Uke

Our friend, Danny Ferrington, is a premiere Luthier (guitar maker)! We met him a few years ago. My husband, Guy plays guitar. He bought some  copies of a book Danny published. It's full of pictures of guitars Danny has made for various entertainers. The book is called: "Classic Ferrington Guitars", published by Callaway.
There is an introduction by Linda Ronstadt, friend of Danny, and "Ferrington" guitar owner.
Well, to make a long story short, Guy always wanted an instrument made by Danny, so  I scrimped and saved to get him a handmade one of a kind uke, made from a gourd (we got to pick it out ).  My husband was so excited, he had the uke named after me, Lulu, (my nickname). It's an honor to have  a fabulous piece of art named after me.  Danny is now selling these ukes in the Christmas Catalogue of Neiman Marcus. You can see him online, by googling Danny Ferrington/ Neiman Marcus. Also, he will be on the Today Show this coming  Tuesday, Oct. 19th 2010. We are excited for Danny, and hope he is successful  in his new venture!

    Hi Leslie,Danny was a good friend of mine when we were teenagers.His Mom was a role model for me.She was the BEST Mom I've ever known.His whole family were wonderful and from what people say the apple didn't fall far from the tree.If you see Danny,please say hell-o from Suzi Nance,an old friend.BTW your Uke is beautiful.
