I think this would be a great dress print.

I love my IPhoto program.  It's so cool to be able to stylize pics.  Photo shop is  a better program, but IPhoto is a cinch! 

Did you know Hummingbirds love hibiscus flowers?

This is my friends' tree and  they gave us fresh poms.
I squeezed  them and am enjoying the results in my daily orange juice.
Pom juice also tastes great in ginger ale, or for no sugar, sparkling water.

Meandering around my yard

Yesterday, the weather was great,

 so I decided to walk around the yard and take some pics.

 I know, I've done this  dozens of times,

 but things are always changing  around here. 

Like our poor Buddah lost his head, but we found it. 

Then our lantern lost it's globe,

 but I found this metal dome (basket upside down). Anyhow,  I felt the urge to post.

major buy

I spent a lot of money today, buying this 4 paneled  stained  glass window.  It is 7' long and 3' wide. It is in perfect shape. The guy who  owned it , had it  in an ugly frame, so I have to find a way to display it in my booth.  I know a guy who makes stained  glass windows, who can make me a frame.  This photo doesn't do it justice.

Custom decorated bottles as gifts.

I added some  crystals to the bottom of the bottle, and used waxed twine to wrap.

Jewelry pieces repurposed.

My best friend's mom is turning 90 , in a week, so I couldn't think of a more fitting  present, than her past! I took a large booze bottle, rolled some old photos of her kids, and stuck them in, added some beads, because she likes wearing colorful beads, tore some  sheet music, because she sings, added a resin kitty to depict her old pet, and put a  glittered and framed label on the front. I also added a crystal stopper and draped a bracelet with charms from New York, where she lived her early life. I'm also adding another label, telling people to send her  small trinkets of the past, to add to the bottle. I hope it will be successful.

Immediate elegance!

All it takes to get an elegant look is a vintage distressed door,

 or shutter,(see previous post),  and add fresh flowers.

 That's it! How easy is that?

 Of course, finding these gorgeous pieces is 3/4's of the battle. But, when we did, Maria and I

 leaned these doors against a wall, and put cozy furniture in front. That was pretty easy.

Large Booth Revamp

To date, I think this is my most elegant vignette. I had the seascape, and when I bought these green shutters, I just knew it would come together. The mirrored 3 piece transom  and desk complete it.

Hollywood continued...

These are some of my favorite celebs.  I'd be there for 2 days shooting everyone I liked. I love movies!

Back To School and Hearty Plates for Hearty Fall Meals

I got lucky and found these vintage" Dupar's Blue Plate" heavy restaurant
  dinner plates.
If you don't know Dupars,  It's an old diner still in business
 They feature, delicious pancakes,pies, and
 on Tuesday nights (I think) still  have chicken fried steak. 

We ,again, got lucky  to find these gym lockers.
Just looking at these brings back
the nightmare of not remembering my combination.

I took my son and his girlfriend to "Hollyweird"...

I'm short, but these would definitely make me scared of heights!

We walked around Hollywood Blvd. and  thought the stores were the most interesting parts. check out these shoes and wigs!
